The chronic disease self-management program is a workshop that people with different chronic health problems can attend together to get information on how to deal with problems such as frustation, fatigue and isolation. It will cover appropiate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance, appropiate use of medications, communitcating effectively with family, friends and health professionals, nutrition and how to evaluate new treatments. Each participant will receive a copy of Living a Healthy Life With Chronic Conditions, 3rd Edition, and audio relaxtion tape Time for Healing.* Join OSPTI, Ottertail Public Health, and staff from the U of M extnsion office one time a week for 6 weeks.
